Every dollar we earn helps us grow our event amenities and lineups, reach larger markets, attract more tourism dollars, and enhance our ability to positively impact the communities we serve. Through partnerships with United Way of Southwest Louisiana and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana, we’re making a difference by supporting vital programs and services for those in need.

ANNUAL EVENTS
Rum Revival:
Lake Charles
Launched in 2022, Rum Revival is a celebration of the Gulf Coast’s colorful ties to the Caribbean and captures the vibrant energy of that region. Held indoors, this fabulous production transforms the space into a premium tasting event featuring a variety of cocktails, and dozens of rums and tequilas, paired with Caribbean dishes prepared by some of Southwest Louisiana’s most talented chefs. Rum is the up and coming spirits category, and we are fortunate to have a world-renowned Rum distillery in our backyard. Between our region’s sugarcane production, rum production, love of flavorful foods, rich musical traditions, and the joie de vivre to celebrate it all – Rum Revival is a natural fit for SWLA. Pull out your favorite tropical attire, and meet us at the ice sculpture to celebrate your brand!

Established in 2018, “Smoke & Barrel” event takes place on the lawn of the Calcasieu Parish Courthouse beneath a canopy of majestic live oaks and has quickly established itself as the premiere spirits tasting event in Southwest Louisiana. Smell the savory aroma of oak and hickory. Taste BBQ from leading pitmasters that’s been expertly paired with bourbon, scotch, and whiskey. Hear the foot-stomping sounds of top regional bands. See works from local artisans and craftsmen. Feel the unique culture and hospitality of Southwest Louisiana.

Smoke & Barrel: Lafayette, a premier tasting event celebrating bourbon, BBQ, Cajun flavors, live music, and the Kentucky Derby! Experience the ultimate Derby Day celebration at UL’s Tigue Stadium at Russo Park on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025. This unforgettable event combines the thrill of one of the largest bourbon tastings in the state with the excitement of the most anticipated two minutes in sports all while benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana!
